rrarrow is an experimental noise machine and modular audio effect available for iOS that boasts extended feedback capabilities.

Key features:

Simplicity: The interface is designed for quicker assembly and more adaptable connectivity, allowing for swift effect creation and comprehensive control over processing parameters using the audio signal.
Feedback capabilities: Integrate feedback loops into the audio chain to produce a variety of chaotic noise sounds.

The app offers 20 blocks for audio processing, including:

Sine generator with basic oscillator features
Saw and square oscillators
Signal multiplier
Delay
Frequency shifter
Envelope follower
“Lorenz attractor”
Quantizer
Sample-and-hold
Reverb
Special lowpass filter
Clipper
Nonlinear shaper for self-oscillating circuits
Two waveshaping modules for distortion effects (fold and wrap)

In addition, there are blocks for audio file manipulation:

Lookup table: Upload up to 10 seconds of an audio file for use as a nonlinear transfer function
Players with/without interpolation and speed control
"Scrub" block for semi-random granular file playback

The app also features a built-in audio recorder to share files with other applications or through AudioShare, MIDI support allowing users to assign MIDI controllers, and compatibility with Audiobus for streaming live audio to other compatible apps. It supports network MIDI, virtual MIDI in, Audiobus state saving, Inter-App Audio support, and background audio support when connected to Audiobus.

iPad2/iPhone4S or newer devices are recommended for complex presets. The app is optimized for iPad and iPhone 5. To get started, users are encouraged to watch tutorial videos on the website and explore the user guide within the app.
